It's Christmas Party Makeup Time

December is here and its getting festive! Twinkling lights, tinsel, glitter and my favourite smells - Christmas trees and freshly baked gingerbread men!

When it comes to this time of year there's always a few special occasions to dress up for, whether it be your work Christmas party or a few festive cocktails on Christmas Eve. There's no better time to add a bit of sparkle into your evening makeup routine! Here are few little tips and products to help you feel amazing this December.

Eyes If your eyes are your favourite feature to enhance you can have lots of fun with evening makeup. Creme eyeshadows are a great base and hold the rest of your eye makeup in place all night long. Choose a creme base with a little shimmer in that will glisten in different lights. My favourite colours are shimmery greens and coppers for hazel eyes, deep purples and plums look stunning on green eyes, whereas greys and golds will look beautiful on blue eyes.

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow - in And on Bronze and Permanent Taupe

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise - in Mona Lisa and Bette

Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks - all colours are amazing!

Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot - in Vintage Selection and Indianwood

Mac pigments are great for adding a little extra sparkle! Use your finger to pat a little colour into the centre of your eyelid or into the inner corners of your eyes. Vanilla, Rose and Melon are the perfect colours to try over the Christmas period.

Lips If time isn't on your side and your're going to a party straight from work a bright lipstick will instantly refresh your look from day to night. A deep berry or cherry red will look perfect with your little black dress or a peachy pop of coral will spruce up jeans and a Christmas jumper!

Mac Lipstick in plumful, rebel, lady danger, vegas volt, velvet teddy are a few of my favourites.

Revlon Colourstay Moisture Lip Stain is great for dry winter lips and has amazing staying power! Parisian Passion and New York Scene are extra Christmassy

Cheeks Winter skin can feel a little tired and dull - a bit of blush can work wonders! Try a light pink or peach with a slight shimmer in to perk up your cheeks adding a subtle glow.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve, Lovely Pink and Seductive Pink.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy and Love Glow are the perfect cheek pick me up.

Now its time for you to go and enjoy your festive activities. Don't eat too many mince pies!
